Taylor Crider

Taylor “TJ” Crider is an Early Childhood Mental Health consultant who supports the State Support Team Region 7 staff, school district administrators, teachers and other education professionals by instructing and providing technical assistance to them regarding the best mental health practices to administer in schools and classrooms in order to facilitate staff and student wellness.

After a decade serving in various mental health roles, Ms. Crider knows what it takes to not only identify and understand the impacts of trauma, but also how to leverage the best mental health practices to help individuals and institutions create healing environments.

Ms. Crider has studied social work and mental health abroad in both Poland and Amsterdam, and has received recognition from the United States Navy for her exceptional work with students.  TJ has also given multiple presentations both internationally and in Ohio on her research and work with children and their well-being as well as her innovative strategies on improving the social work workforce.

Ms. Crider has been extensively trained and certified in trauma informed care. Ms. Crider was awarded a Child Welfare Fellowship from Case Western Reserve University for her work with and desire to improve the current child welfare system. 

Ms. Crider currently holds a Bachelor’s degree in both Psychology and History with a Writing cluster from Heidelberg University and is graduating in May of 2024 with her Master’s in Social Services Administration with a focus in Children from the Jack, Joseph, Morton and Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University in addition to obtaining her trauma certification.
